Listen to the Festival Line-up

La Féline,

The 1942 film by Jacques Tourneur may come to mind when you hear La Féline but it's also the name of a trio headed by vocalist Agnès Gayraud since 2008 with Xavier Thiry (keyboard) and Stéphane (drums). The trio started out with a tour of Paris venues: la Flèche d'or, le Divan du Monde, le Glaz'art, la Maroquinerie and les Trois Baudets.

A debut self-produced homonymous mini album with six tracks came out in spring 2009 distributed by the independent Believe. The acoustic tone is folk and the songs are bilingual ("Mystery Train"). John McCabe relates to another film. A few months later, the Cent Mètres de Haut EP unveiled a brand new track chosen for an advert for Shiseido cosmetics and three remixes. December that year saw the release of a new EP with three tracks, Super Mystère, distributed by Discograph.

La Féline's first 8-track mini album came out in April 2011 and is called Wolf & Wheel. Electro-pop and French language reigned over future releases. 2014's EP and album Adieu l'Enfance are written entirely by the singer and produced by Xavier Thiry. "Zone" was made into a 12" in 2015 before the two singles "Senga" and "Séparés (Si nous étions jamais)" announced the release of the third album Triomphe in January 2017.
